As the owners and operators of Impact Building Solutions LLC we, Tom Eccles and Joel Wasko, have over 30 years of combined experience. We have worked together as separate entities since 2014 and became owners and partners of Impact Building Solutions LLC in 2017. We formed our company based on the commitment to build a superior product while focusing on the customer/contractor relationship. We are hands on throughout the entire process and work closely with each homeowner at every stage to ensure the final product is exactly what they envisioned. We specialize is Luxury New Homes, Renovations and Fine Carpentry. We partner only with the trade professionals in the area who bring a high level of expertise and a commitment to service. Our goal is to produce an uncompromised product while building relationships in the community that leave a lasting impact on our customers, their homes and the industry.

We believe each process is a reflection of our personal character and every product is a reflection of our abilities as craftsmen; that is what drives our desire to deliver on every promise.

——ABOUT JOEL

Joel Wasko comes from an extended family of carpenters and craftsmen. His family inspired a passion for building. He took a different route, setting a foundation by completing a bachelor’s degree in Residential Construction Management from Penn State Affiliate, Pennsylvania College of Technology. His first few years in the field as a freelance carpenter he sought out to develop his skills working alongside contractors in the area who had an eye for detail and a similar passion for producing a quality product. Later he took an opportunity to develop his leadership skills working as a crew leader, then advanced to a site supervisor for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles. Having the chance to lead thousands of volunteers while gaining hands on experience in all phases of construction he also cultivated a philosophy that he wasn’t just building houses but building people’s homes. Bringing that experience with him back across the country he met Tom Eccles who shared a similar passion for building a beautiful product. After working together as separate entities for several years they decided to form Impact Building Solutions. Their common goal is now to construct uncompromising projects, while building relationships in the community that leave a lasting impact on all customers, their homes and the industry.

Aside from his business, Joel enjoys spending time with his wife Jill, son Logan and they are expecting a 2^nd child in October 2019. His other passions are exploring the extensive nature in and around the Poconos, kayaking, scuba diving and surfing.

——ABOUT TOM

Tom Eccles had the opportunity to enter the construction industry at the age of 13.  His father owned a reputable construction company.  Where Tom learned the value of hard work and respect for colleagues and community.  He apprenticed with his grandfather and got a taste for “old-time” craftsmanship, touting both beauty and durability.  These men, by example, passed on humility and the satisfaction one gets by taking pride in their work.

After years of achievement, Tom did eventually leave the comfort of his family run business.  He left behind his role as lead carpenter to join a large traveling construction business.  He learned to adapt quickly to ever changing circumstances, be a part of an even bigger team, manage time and resources, take the lead and meet deadlines.

It was the birth of Tom’s son Xavier that called him home in 2001.  It was then that Tom found himself working for luxury home builders where he would meet his current business partner Joel.  They worked on a number of complex and beautiful projects together and realized the passion in one another to achieve the highest standard in building quality.

Tom and Joel partnered and set out on their own to offer this gift to the community.  They not only build beautiful creations, but also strong lasting relationships with their clients and colleagues. In summary….they’re here to make an impact!

Tom and his wife Erica and their two boys Zavier 17, and Zane 8, live in Honesdale PA.  They enjoy time with their family, a number of outdoor activities and good eats.  Tom and Erica also share a love of homesteading, they garden, forage, and preserve and store their bounty.
